The Aftermath

When she was satisfied that every last one of them had been destroyed, she turned and walked away, their blood staining her boots. She'd underestimated them once, but never again. The tiny army would never dare come for her again, and if they did, she'd be ready.

Tara stood tall, her chest heaving with the adrenaline rush that coursed through her veins. She smiled, a wicked glint in her eyes. The tiny army may have thought they could take her down, but they'd made a grave mistake.
