Mary let out a sigh of relief, her muscles relaxing slightly. But even as she breathed a small sigh of relief, she knew that this was only the beginning of her ordeal. For in the world of Middle Earth, where power was everything and mercy was rare, she was nothing more than a pawn to be used and abused at the whim of her captors.
