Kanon, a confident woman in a buttoned-up shirt and black skirt, strides through the glass-walled headquarters of Private Detectives Bound. Her mission: to infiltrate the rival company NextGen Tech on behalf of her client, Innovatech. The suspicion is that NextGen has stolen Innovatech's patented code.

As a corporate consultant, Kanon has successfully snuck away from her "meeting" and heads straight for the CEO's office during the lunch hour when most of the staff has left for their breaks. She creeps into the office, her heart racing with anticipation and fear, knowing that one wrong move could mean disaster.

Without wasting any time, Kanon goes straight to the computer and inserts a custom-designed drive given to her by Innovatech. This drive is designed to delete all the contents of the computer, including any incriminating evidence that might link NextGen to the stolen code. However, as the USB takes its time uploading the malware, people start coming back into the office.

Suddenly, the door swings open, and the CEO of NextGen stands there looking around the empty room. His eyes narrow as they focus on the irregular flutter behind his curtains. "I know there's someone in here. Come out now," he says, his voice cold and commanding.

Kanon's heart drops into her stomach. She's been caught red-handed. As she slowly emerges from her hiding spot, she tries to think fast. Her mind races with excuses and explanations, but before she can say anything, the CEO speaks again. "What are you doing here?" he demands, his gaze boring into her.

For a moment, Kanon is lost for words. She takes a deep breath, trying to calm the rising panic within her. "I... I'm here on behalf of Innovatech," she manages to stammer out. "We suspected foul play and wanted to investigate."

The CEO's eyes widen in disbelief. "Foul play? What kind of foul play?" he asks, his voice rising.

Kanon swallows hard, her mind racing. She knows she has to be careful with her words. "We thought you might have stolen their code," she says, trying to maintain her composure.

The CEO's face turns red with anger. "That's ridiculous! We would never do such a thing!" he shouts, taking a step towards her.

Kanon takes an involuntary step back, her heart pounding in her chest. She knows she's in trouble now. The CEO is clearly furious, and she has no idea how to calm him down. As he advances towards her, she realizes that she may have to use force to escape.

Caught in the Act

Without warning, the CEO grabs her by the arm, his grip tight and painful. "You've got some explaining to do," he growls, his face only inches away from hers.

Kanon tries to pull away, but his grip is like steel. She can feel her heart racing as she tries to think of a way out of this mess. Suddenly, she remembers the custom-designed drive still plugged into the computer. If she can distract him long enough, she might be able to upload the malware and delete all the incriminating evidence.

"Look, I know I shouldn't have done this," she says, trying to sound contrite. "But I had no choice. My client trusted me to find the truth."

The CEO's grip loosens slightly as he listens to her plea. "What do you mean by 'truth'?" he asks, his voice still tinged with suspicion.

"I mean that Innovatech suspected foul play," she says, trying to keep her voice steady. "They thought you might have stolen their code."

The CEO's eyes widen in disbelief. "That's absurd!" he shouts, releasing her arm and taking a step back.

Kanon takes a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest. This is her chance. She quickly moves towards the computer, her hands shaking as she tries to insert the USB drive. The CEO watches her, his eyes narrowed in suspicion.

As the computer begins to whir and beep, Kanon feels a sense of relief wash over her. The malware is uploading successfully. But just as she thinks she's in the clear, the CEO lunges towards her, grabbing her by the hair and pulling her away from the computer.

"What are you doing?" he demands, his voice cold and menacing.

Kanon tries to wriggle free, but his grip is like steel. She can feel her scalp tingle with pain as he pulls her closer. "I... I was just trying to delete the incriminating evidence," she stammers, her voice shaking.

The CEO's eyes narrow as he realizes what she's trying to do. "You think you can just walk in here and delete our files?" he growls, his voice low and threatening.

Kanon swallows hard, her heart pounding in her chest. She knows she's in deep trouble now. The CEO's grip tightens, pulling her closer still. She can feel the heat of his breath on her face as he leans in, his lips just inches from her ear.

"You have no idea what you've gotten yourself into," he whispers, his voice barely above a whisper.

As his words echo in her ears, Kanon can feel herself tremble with fear and anticipation. She knows that she's playing with fire now, and there's no telling what he might do next. All she can do is brace herself for the unknown and hope that she can somehow find a way out of this dangerous situation.
