As they reached Tara's house, she threw them both onto her couch and glared down at them. For a moment, Ciara thought she might be killed, but then Tara's expression softened slightly. She bent down and picked Ciara up, holding her at eye level.

"I don't know what kind of sick game you're playing," she said through gritted teeth, "but I'm not finished with you yet." With that, she carried Ciara to her room and closed the door behind them, leaving John to wonder what would happen next.
