Suddenly, it hit her. This was the traffic she had just moved out of. The glitter was the shrunken remains of all the cars, police officers, and firefighters who had been caught in the chaos. She felt a pang of guilt wash over her, but she also felt an insatiable desire to play with her newfound toys.



Alice leaned down, her face only inches away from the glitter. She picked up a small piece of black glitter between her fingers and examined it. It was hard to believe that this tiny fragment once belonged to a car full of people. She felt a strange sense of power and control over these minuscule beings.



She decided to have some fun with them. She blew gently on the glitter, sending some of it flying. She picked up a red piece and held it up close to her eye, watching it twinkle in the light. Then, she brought it closer to her mouth, her tongue practically darting out in anticipation.



With a soft click of her tongue, she swallowed the red glitter. She could feel it tingling as it passed down her throat, the sensation traveling up her spine. She picked up more glitter, this time blue, and blew it away. The wind carried it off, leaving nothing but a clean floor behind.



Alice sat back on her heels, taking in the scene before her. She had the power to crush these people underfoot, or she could blow them away like dust. She felt a shiver run down her spine, the thought of it all being so easy to control.



Suddenly, she had an idea. She picked up a handful of glitter and carefully placed it on the floor. Then, she took a step back and stomped down hard, watching as the glitter was ground into dust beneath her foot.



She did it again, this time with more force, her feet slamming into the glitter. It was exhilarating, the feeling of power coursing through her veins as she reduced these once-living beings to nothing.



After a while, Alice grew tired of the game. She stood up, brushing the last bits of glitter from her hands. She gazed down at the floor, now completely clear. She checked her phone, relieved to see that no one had been injured in her little experiment.



With a sigh, she turned and walked back into her house. As she closed the door behind her, she couldn't shake the feeling that something had changed inside her. She had crossed a line, and there was no going back.
