With that, they stood up, their regal gowns swishing behind them. Daniel remained on his knees, his head bowed in submission. As they exited the room, leaving behind a trail of stench in their wake, he couldn't help but wonder—were they truly divine beings, or mere mortals wielding a power he could never hope to understand?
