The camera cuts away to the police arriving at the scene, their flashlights cutting through the darkness of the mansion. As they enter Colette's bedroom, they find the bound and gagged intruder, his eyes wide with fear. In a sudden burst of desperation, Colette tries to free herself from her bonds, but it's too late. The police grab her, handcuff her, and lead her away.
