Danielle's Twisted Mercy
The List
In a dimly lit room, Danielle Maye towered over two terrified police officers. She had shrunk them down to the size of action figures and placed them on her desk for a grim lesson. The power dynamic was palpable; these men, once towering figures of authority, were now at her mercy.
Danielle smiled cruelly as she began flipping through a thick binder filled with files. Each one held the details of someone who had disappeared in the past year—all of whom she knew had crossed her path. She stopped on one name, her eyes tracing over the photograph and personal information. "This one was particularly delicious," she purred, running her finger along the page. "A young couple on their honeymoon. They were so full of hope and love... until they met me."
She closed the file and looked up at the officers, their faces pale with fear. "You see, gentlemen, I like to keep records. It's a hobby of mine. I like to remember the people I've... interacted with." She leaned in close, her breath hot on their faces, and whispered, "And I thought it was only fair to share my little black book with you."
Danielle picked up a stack of papers and handed them to one of the officers. "Here are the names, lives, jobs, passions, and... final destinations of all the people who disappeared in the last year. I suggest you read them carefully." The officer took the papers with trembling hands, his heart racing as he realized the truth of their situation.
As he began to read through the list, his partner could only watch in horror. It didn't take long for the reality of the situation to sink in: these people were not just missing—they were dead, and Danielle had something to do with it. The officer who had been handed the list started to shake uncontrollably, his eyes wide with disbelief.
Danielle watched with cold amusement as the officers began to realize the depth of her depravity. One of them, unable to handle the truth any longer, turned and ran for the door. It was a futile effort—with a flick of her finger, Danielle sent him flying across the room, crashing into a wall with a sickening thud.
The remaining officer looked on in terror as Danielle approached the injured man, her heels clicking against the hardwood floor. With a sadistic grin, she knelt down and examined the wound on his head. "That was clumsy of me," she mused, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "But then again, I'm not exactly known for my gentle touch."
She stood up and turned back to the terrified officer, who was now trembling uncontrollably. "You see, officer," she said, her voice soft and deadly, "I don't like when people disrespect the missing. It's a sensitive issue, and they deserve better than that." She leaned in close once again, her breath hot on his face. "And since you and your partner didn't show them any mercy... well, let's just say that I'm not very big on giving second chances."
As she spoke, the officer could feel his heart racing in his chest. He knew there was no escape; he was at Danielle's mercy, and she was not a woman who showed mercy lightly. With a final glance at the list in his trembling hands, he knew that he and his partner would never be the same again.
