Across from him, the referee, CJ James, adjusted his shirt with a look of disgust. He knew what was coming—the Masked Champ was hoping to bribe him into helping him cheat his way to victory. But CJ was determined to keep the match fair, no matter what it cost him.
As the bell rang, the Masked Champ lunged forward, shoving CJ hard against the ropes. The crowd gasped as they watched the two men struggle for control. CJ managed to push back, sending the Champ staggering back.
