In the heart of the bustling Western city, there stood a towering high school; its imposing architecture a testament to the power and ambition of the local community. Inside, among the throngs of students scurrying between classes, was a young girl named Lily. She was a sweet and innocent-looking thing, with long, raven hair that cascaded down her delicate back like a waterfall. Her eyes were big and bright, always filled with curiosity about the world around her. But as she walked down the hallways of the school, she couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. It was as if the very walls were alive, their cold gaze boring into her very soul. Little did she know that this feeling would soon become far more literal than she could ever imagine.
As the final bell rang out across the school, signaling the end of the day, Lily hurried to her locker room. She changed swiftly from her school uniform into a pair of loose-fitting tracksuit bottoms and an old hoodie, tucking her petite frame into a corner of the room as she waited for her teammates to arrive. She pulled out her phone and began scrolling through social media, lost in the world of online distractions.
Minutes ticked by, and slowly but surely, the other girls began to file into the room. They were all athletes, of course; their bodies toned and muscled from years of rigorous training. But it was never enough for them; they always wanted more. They looked at Lily with a mixture of pity and amusement, unable to comprehend how someone so small and fragile could ever hope to compete with them.
"Hey, Lily," one of the girls called out, "what are you doing here? This isn't a place for little girls like you." The laughter that followed sent shivers down Lily's spine. She didn't say anything; she just continued scrolling through her phone, hoping they would leave her alone.
But they didn't. Instead, they gathered around her, forming a tight circle of taunting and teasing. The air became thick with tension as they inched closer and closer to her, their eyes burning into her very soul. And then, without warning, the floor began to rumble beneath their feet. At first, it was barely noticeable; just a gentle tremor that seemed to come from under the ground. But then, it grew stronger and stronger, until the very walls of the locker room seemed to shake and shudder with each passing second.
In the midst of the chaos, Lily felt a strange sensation wash over her. It was as if the world was growing bigger, expanding outwards in every direction. And with that realization, she felt a sudden surge of power coursing through her veins. She looked up at her tormentors, and for the first time, she felt a sense of defiance rising within her.
"What's wrong?" she spat out, her voice echoing off the walls. "Scared of a little girl, are you?" The other girls laughed again, but this time, it was forced and hollow. They could feel it too; something was changing in this room, and they were powerless to stop it.
As if in response to her taunt, the floor gave way beneath them. The girls screamed and flailed, their bodies tumbling downwards into nothingness. But not Lily. She felt herself growing, expanding until she towered over the room. The ceiling was now within reach, and she grabbed hold of it, pulling herself up into the rafters. She looked down at the terrified faces below, a cruel grin spreading across her lips.
"Now who's the little girl?" she cackled, her voice booming through the locker room. And with that, she let go, plummeting down towards her prey like a vengeful angel.
