Act Of Betrayal (2K) - Alba Zevon
In the dimly lit office, Alba Zevon stood her ground, her heart pounding as she confronted her boss about the corrupt dealings he had been hiding. The air was thick with tension, and she could feel the weight of his gaze boring into her. He had asked her to ignore the irregularities in the financial records, but she couldn't. She refused to be a part of his crimes any longer.
As he leaned back in his chair, his face contorted with anger and frustration, she knew she had pushed too far. He stood up slowly, towering over her like a giant, and she felt a shiver run down her spine. He grabbed her arm roughly, pulling her close, and she could feel the power he held over her.
His voice was cold and menacing as he told her she had made a mistake. He was going to have to take her out of circulation until he and those aiding his illicit activities could make arrangements to leave the country. Alba knew she was in deep trouble.
The next thing she knew, she was being dragged through the halls of his house, her heels clicking on the hardwood floor. She was pushed roughly into the basement, and before she could even process what was happening, her wrists were secured behind her back with handcuffs.
Her legs were pulled apart, and a zip tie was wrapped around her ankles, securing them together. She felt a rush of panic as she realized she was completely helpless. Her boss stood over her, looming large, and she could feel the heat of his gaze on her body.
Without warning, he pressed a strip of duct tape over her mouth, muffling her cries. She struggled against her restraints, but they held firm. He told her he had to go out for a while to start making arrangements for his departure, promising to return later to check on her.
Alba lay there, bound and gagged, the sounds of his footsteps fading upstairs. She couldn't believe this was happening. She had trusted him, worked for him for years. But now, she was at his mercy, and he had no intention of showing her any.
The clock ticked away as she lay there, her heart racing in her chest. She couldn't move, couldn't speak. All she could do was wait, helpless and alone.
