Media Impact Customs - Unaware Breakfast

The Unaware Breakfast

Vonka, a young woman unaware of the world around her, stepped into her apartment, phone in hand. She was lost in a world of texts and notifications, oblivious to the tiny figures that dotted her surroundings. As she kicked off her shoes and dropped her bag, a shrinkee scurried across the floor, stopping to look up at her.

A Giant Awaits

Vonka's eyes widened as she noticed the miniature figure on the counter, staring up at her with a mixture of fear and curiosity. The room seemed to slow down as she took in its scale, realizing how tiny this being truly was. With a gasp, she reached out to smack it off the counter.

The impact sent ripples through the air, causing the shrinkee to tumble off the counter and onto the floor. Vonka took a step back, her heart racing as she tried to comprehend what was happening. Was she losing her mind? Or had something truly extraordinary crossed her path?

A Desperate Plea

A second shrinkee appeared on the floor, calling out to Vonka. Its voice was small and panicked, begging her to understand that they were people, just like her. But Vonka couldn't shake the feeling of disgust and curiosity that coursed through her veins. She knelt down to get a closer look, her phone still in her hand.

As she brought the camera close to the tiny figure, she couldn't help but feel a sense of awe mixed with revulsion. "What are you?" she whispered, her voice trembling. The shrinkee tried to explain, but Vonka couldn't hear them over the sound of her own pulsing heart.

The Invasion Continues

More shrinkies appeared, crawling out from the shadows and onto the surfaces around her. Vonka's mind was racing, her heart pounding in her chest. She needed answers, but they were too small to hear. She reached for her phone, dialing a number at random.

"Hello?" a voice answered on the other end. Vonka couldn't speak, her throat locked in fear. She held up the phone, showing the shrinkee on the counter. "Look at this," she managed to croak. "I need help."

The Discovery

As Vonka waited for help to arrive, she couldn't help but feel a sense of disbelief mixed with fascination. These tiny beings were a part of her world, and she had no idea. She watched them scurry around, their movements so fast they were almost hypnotic.

Finally, the door swung open, and a team of scientists rushed in, cameras and equipment in tow. They surrounded Vonka, asking her questions and taking notes. She felt like she was in a dream, unable to process the reality of what was happening.

The Breakfast Table

Vonka was led to the kitchen, where a table had been set up. In the center was a bowl filled with cereal, next to a spoon and a glass of milk. She sat down, feeling the eyes of the team on her as she poured the milk and took a spoonful of cereal.

As she lifted the spoon to her mouth, she felt a sudden jolt of fear. A shrinkee was in the bowl, its eyes wide with terror. She froze, the spoon hovering above the tiny figure. "No," she whispered. "Please, don't."

The Capture

One of the scientists stepped forward, reaching into the bowl to scoop up the shrinkee. Vonka watched in horror as it lifted the tiny figure out of the cereal, holding it up for her to see. "What are you doing?" she whispered, her voice shaking.

"Don't worry," the scientist reassured her. "We're here to help." They placed the shrinkee in a small container, sealing it tightly before continuing their investigation. Vonka sat frozen, unable to process the events that had unfolded before her.

The Aftermath

Hours later, Vonka found herself alone in her apartment, the events of the day still reeling through her mind. She sat at the kitchen table, staring blankly at the empty bowl. A sense of loss and disbelief washed over her as she tried to make sense of what had happened.

She hadn't had the heart to ask about the fate of the shrinkies, instead focusing on the feelings of confusion and fear that still lingered. As she stood up to clear the dishes, her phone buzzed in her pocket. A text message from an unknown number read: "Thank you for saving us."

Vonka froze, her heart pounding in her chest. Was it possible that they were still alive? She opened the message, her fingers trembling as she read the words on the screen. "We're safe now," it said. "You'll never see us again. Thank you."

With a shaky breath, Vonka typed out a response. "I'm glad you're safe," she wrote. "Goodbye." She didn't know if they would understand, or if they would ever see her message. But for now, it was enough to know that she had done something to help.
