She led him into the living room, their footsteps echoing off the walls. The room was huge, far bigger than he had imagined. Despite his initial skepticism, he had to admit — this place was perfect.

But before he could say anything, she grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him close. Her breath was hot on his neck, sending another wave of fear through him.

"So," she whispered, her voice a dark rumble. "You want this house, don't you?"

He swallowed hard, nodding. "Yes, I do."

She smiled then, a predatory grin that made his heart race. "Good. Because I have a feeling you're going to pay for it... in more ways than one."
