A smile tugged at the corners of Mia's mouth as she looked at him. "A massage? You?" She raised an eyebrow in amusement. "Almost a professional, huh?"
Before she could reply, Joao leaned over and grabbed one of Mia's feet. As soon as his fingers touched her skin, she let out a shriek of surprise and began to laugh. "Oh no! I'm ticklish!" she squealed, squirming away from his touch.
Joao chuckled, his eyes filled with mischief. "Oh really?" he teased. And with that, the room was filled with giggles and laughter. Joao began tickling Mia's feet, and she tried to dodge his touch, kicking her legs and squirming around on the couch. Their laughter echoed through the room, filling the space with joy and happiness.
Soon, they were both breathless, their faces flushed with excitement and amusement. When the fit of giggles finally subsided, Mia lay sprawled on the couch, her chest heaving as she caught her breath. "See?" she managed between gasps. "I didn't even need the massage."
Joao grinned at her, his eyes twinkling with delight. "Well, maybe next time you'll let me give you one," he said, reaching over to brush a stray lock of hair from her face. The silence that followed was comfortable, a shared moment of connection between two people who understood each other without words.
Outside, the sun was setting, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink. The distant sounds of the city faded away, leaving the pair alone in their bubble of laughter and love. As Mia snuggled closer to Joao, she felt a sense of warmth and contentment wash over her.
