She pulled him up by the collar and marched him to the center of the room. "Lick every bit of this mess off the floor," she commanded, pointing to the crushed food at her feet, "And remember: this is what happens when you fail me."

As Charles knelt before her, his face inches from her perfect feet, Karina smiled cruelly. "Look at you," she said, kicking a piece of cookie toward him, "Pathetic, useless, and now hungry too." She leaned down, her breath warm against his cheek. "You think you're so weak and impotent," she whispered, "But I'll show you who's really in control."
With that, she lifted her foot, revealing a chunk of squashed bread wedged between her toes. She brought it down hard onto Charles's lips, forcing him to open his mouth. "Taste your own failure," she hissed, pushing the bread deeper into his mouth. "And remember: this is what happens when you fail Mistress Karina Cruel."
