Terra hesitated at first, but then she saw the twinkle in the man's eye. He wasn't going to hurt her; he just wanted to make sure she couldn't stop him. She took a deep breath and nodded. "Alright, you win," she said, trying to sound brave. "Tie me up and gag me. Just promise me you won't hurt me."
The man chuckled darkly. "Oh, don't worry, sweetheart. I promise you won't feel a thing." With that, he grabbed Terra and started to tie her up. He bound her wrists tightly behind her back and then wrapped her legs in what felt like miles of tape. Terra squirmed and tried to escape, but the tape was too strong. Before she knew it, she was completely immobilized.
Next, the man produced a large ball gag and stuffed it into Terra's mouth. He buckled it tightly behind her head, making it impossible for her to speak. Terra's eyes widened in terror as she realized she had been outsmarted. She had thought she was being clever, but instead, she had unwittingly sealed her own fate.
