MADE IN JAPAN 27: The Cursed Videotape Case, Nao Iinari gets tied and gagged in an abandoned chamber with a vengeful ghost!
As the urban legend goes, a cursed videotape is making its rounds in Shinjuku's underground scene. Those brave—or foolish—enough to watch it are driven toward madness as the images on the tape seem to make no sense. But in the final moments, a horrifying ghostly figure suddenly appears on screen, and from that instant, the viewer has seven days to live. The only way to escape the curse is to pass it on—by making someone else watch the tape, condemning them instead and continuing an endless chain.
Nao Iinari is a cheerful cosplay living in Tokyo, with a love for nightlife and partying in Kabukicho. One reckless night, she is tricked into watching the video. As the days pass and the curse tightens its grip, desperation takes over. In a moment of fear and selfish survival, Nao deceives an overseas tourist and passes the curse on to him.
But the tourist is not so easily defeated. Refusing to accept his fate, he turns the curse back on Nao. He lures her into believing that her best friend has been taken and is being held in an abandoned underground chamber. When Nao arrives to rescue her, she is ambushed and captured by the foreigner.
The man confesses that her friend was never there, but now Nao will have to watch the cursed video again, freeing him from the curse. He ties Nao's hands behind her back, then ties her body tightly. To prevent Nao from screaming for help, the man gags her with duct tape.
Bound and gagged, Nao tries hard to get away, but the ropes are too tight, she can't move, her legs are tied so she can't run away. The man grabs his phone and reproduces the video on front of Nao as he turns away to avoid watching the cursed video. After the video stops, the curse has been passed to Nao. And since it's the second time Nao watches, the curse restarts exactly where Nao left it, about a couple of hours before the ghost appears.
The dude flees, while Nao is now in a race against time. She must escape, but the ropes are too tight, and there is no way she can escape. The gag muffles her words... will she escape on time? Includes BTS footage.
