With that, you place him gently back inside your sock, trapping him once again. This time, however, he's on the inside looking out. As you pull your sock back on, you feel him pressing against the fabric, desperate for a glimpse of the world outside.
You stand up, towering over him, and grin down at him. "Don't worry, baby," you murmur, running your fingers through his hair. "I'll take good care of you."
