June listened as he spoke in hushed tones, his words sending shivers down her spine. He disconnected the call, turning his attention back to her.
"You won't get away with this," she tried to say, but all that came out was a muffled grunt.
The masked man chuckled darkly, reaching down to untape her ankles. "Oh, but I already have, my dear."
With a sinister smile, he pulled her to her feet and pushed her towards the door. June stumbled, her legs wobbly after hours of immobility. She tried to resist, but the masked man was too strong for her.
As they made their way towards the exit, June's mind raced. She had to find a way to escape this nightmare. But with every step, she felt more and more helpless, more and more trapped.
The masked man pulled open the door, stepping into the hallway. He pushed June forward, and she stumbled out into the light, still bound and gagged.
As they made their way towards the waiting police car, June couldn't help but wonder if she'd ever be free of this masked man's grasp. Would she ever be able to shake off the feeling of powerlessness that consumed her?
