Aquarius's eyes widened in surprise, but she couldn't hide the smile spreading across her face. "I... I would be honored," she replied, leaning in closer to Veronica. "Thank you for accepting me."
Veronica ruffled Aquarius's hair playfully, her grin growing wider by the moment. "Don't mention it, my dear," she said. "Now, let's get started on that training of yours. I want you to be at your best when we go out into the world together."
As they walked towards the exit, side by side, Veronica couldn't help but think how lucky she was to have found Aquarius.
