"You don't know?" Maisie asked incredulously, as if Sophie had just confessed to not understanding basic math. "Mr. Johnson is letting us play a game of giantess tag during lunch!" she explained, her eyes shining with delight.
Sophie's heart skipped a beat at the thought of playing such a game. Giantess tag was a schoolyard favorite, but instead of the usual rules, they were going to play it with a twist: one person would be chosen to grow exponentially, towering over everyone else. It was an exhilarating idea, but also a little daunting. What if she was chosen? Would she enjoy being so much bigger than everyone else?
The bell rang, signaling the start of class, and the group of them filed into their History classroom, buzzing with excitement. Throughout the period, Sophie couldn't help but find herself glancing at the clock, counting down the minutes until they could break for lunch.

Once they've grown to a height of your choosing, you must try and tag them. If you manage to tag them before they grow any taller, you switch roles. If you don't manage to tag them before they grow any taller, you're out of the game. Are there any questions?"
There were a few murmurs of curiosity and excitement, but no one spoke up. Sophie's heart was thundering in her chest as she waited for Mr. Johnson to choose the first pair. He looked around the group, his eyes lingering on each pair of classmates before finally settling on Sophie and Maisie.
Sophie's stomach did a somersault as she realized they had been chosen. Maisie grinned at her, clearly excited about the prospect of playing the game. "Alright you two, let's get started," Mr. Johnson said, pointing at Sophie. "You, go ahead and start growing."
Sophie's heart pounded in her chest as she looked at Maisie. This was it. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, concentrating on the feeling of her body growing taller, her muscles stretching and expanding to accommodate her new height.
She opened her eyes and gasped, shocked by what she saw. She was towering over Maisie, at least four times her size. Maisie's eyes were wide with awe, her mouth open in shock. "Wow, Sophie, you look amazing!" she exclaimed, her voice barely more than a whisper.
Sophie blushed, feeling self-conscious about her newfound size. She stretched her arms out, feeling the wind ruffle the fabric of her uniform as she did so. "Are you ready to start the game?" she asked, her voice sounding deeper and more resonant than usual.
Maisie nodded eagerly, her eyes bright with excitement. "Yes, let's do this!" she exclaimed, taking off at a sprint. Sophie chased after her, enjoying the feeling of her body moving so effortlessly at her new height.
