The July poll winner from EldritchGTS was a tale of gigantic proportions. The comic tells the story of a man named Jack who finds himself in a strange and eerie world where giants roam free. As the sole human among these towering titans, he must navigate through his new surroundings while avoiding being trampled or devoured by these colossal creatures.
As the first page unfolds, we see Jack standing in awe before a towering behemoth who towers over him by several stories. The giant is adorned with intricate tattoos that seem to glow against its dark skin. Its massive arms are crossed as it gazes down at Jack, who cautiously approaches it.
"Um, excuse me?" Jack nervously stutters out. "Could you please tell me where I am and how I got here?"
The giant chuckles deeply, shaking the ground beneath Jack's feet. It leans down closer until its face is level with his, revealing a mouth full of jagged teeth.
"You're in the realm of the Eldritch Giants," the beast booms in a thunderous voice. "And you were brought here by your own desires, human."
Jack blinks in surprise before stammering out a question. "D-desires? But I don't remember wanting to be here..."
The giant shrugs, its massive shoulders causing the earth to tremble. "Perhaps your mind has forgotten what your heart desired," it says cryptically before straightening up once more. "But know this, human: This is not a place for the weak or the fearful. Only those who embrace the eldritch darkness within themselves will survive."
With that ominous warning, the giant turns and begins to stride away, leaving Jack alone in the vast, empty landscape. As he watches the giant disappear into the distance, Jack can't help but feel a strange sense of dread wash over him. But amidst his fear, there's also an undeniable thrill that courses through his veins. He's been given a chance to explore this bizarre new world on his own terms – and he intends to make the most of it.
