The Visit
by EldritchGTS
Chapter 1: The Unexpected Encounter
Claire stood at the entrance of her small cottage, squinting against the bright daylight. She had just returned from a long walk in the nearby woods and was eager to rest. As she fumbled with her keys, a sudden gust of wind caught her off guard, sending leaves and twigs swirling around her feet. With a sigh, she finally managed to unlock the door and stepped inside, relieved to be out of the chaotic elements. This weather is getting worse, she thought to herself, I hope it's not a sign of worse things to come. Claire was a kind-hearted woman who lived alone in the secluded countryside. She was known for her gentle nature and her love for animals. Her cottage was nestled deep in the woods, surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife. It was a peaceful existence that she cherished deeply. Little did she know that her quiet life was about to be turned upside down by an unexpected visitor.
Claire
Descriptions: Claire is a lovely woman with long, wavy auburn hair and emerald-green eyes. She has a slender yet curvaceous figure, with full hips and an ample bosom. She stands at an average height of 5'6", but due to her delicate stature, she appears smaller than she actually is. She usually wears simple, comfortable clothing that allows her to move freely. As a nature-lover, she often dons hiking boots and sturdy pants for her treks into the woods.
Claire walked over to her small kitchen, placing her backpack on the floor. She took a deep breath, savoring the cozy atmosphere of her home. Suddenly, she heard a faint knocking sound coming from outside. Frowning, she walked over to the front door and peered through the small window. To her surprise, she saw a youthful woman standing there, looking lost and scared.

Claire opened the door cautiously, her brows knitted in concern. "Hello? Can I help you?" The woman looked up at her, relief flashing across her face. "Oh, thank goodness, I was hoping you could!" She stuttered, her cheeks reddening slightly. "I'm not from around here and I got lost in the woods. I've been walking for hours and I don't have any idea where I am or how to get back."
Claire felt an empathetic pang in her heart. She knew how frightening it could be to be lost in the wilderness, especially for someone who wasn't used to it. "Come in, come in," She said, stepping aside to allow the woman into her cottage. "Let's get you warm and comfortable."

Claire led the woman over to the small sofa in her living room. "Can I get you something to drink? Tea, maybe?" She asked, grabbing a kettle and putting it on the stove. "That would be lovely," The woman replied gratefully. As she sat down, Claire noticed how tiny she was, almost like a little girl. She couldn't help but wonder how she managed to get lost in the woods when she seemed so small and fragile.

Claire poured boiling water into a teapot and set it on the table, along with two cups and a small assortment of teas. "So, tell me, how did you end up here?" She asked, sitting down across from the woman. The woman[/b took a deep breath, her expression turning solemn. "Well, that's a long story," She began, her voice quivering slightly. "The truth is, I'm not even sure if I'm from this world."

Claire[/b listened intently as the woman shared her incredible story of being transported to another dimension, a world filled with bizarre creatures and ancient magic. As she spoke, Claire couldn't shake off the feeling that something wasn't quite right. There was an eerie aura about the woman, almost as if she wasn't entirely human.

Claire[/b couldn't deny the woman's exhaustion and desperation. Despite her reservations, she decided to help her guest. She led the woman upstairs to her guest room, showing her where to put her things. As they parted ways, Claire had a strange feeling that she wouldn't be seeing her new friend again soon.

Claire[/b spent the rest of the day trying to forget about her visitor's strange story. The more she thought about it, the more uneasy she felt. She tried to distract herself by taking her dog for a walk in the woods, but even the familiar surroundings couldn't ease her mind. At dinner time, she cooked a simple pasta dish, hoping that the comfort food would help settle her nerves. As she ate, she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was watching her, lurking in the shadows.

Claire[/b felt a sudden chill run down her spine. She glanced out of the window, expecting to see nothing but darkness. To her shock, she saw a pair of eyes staring back at her, glowing unnaturally in the night. With a shaky breath, she knew that her visitor's story was true. She was not alone in this world, and whatever was out there had found her.
