Ophaki - Armageddon
Once upon a time, in a world ravaged by war and destruction, there lived a young girl named Sarah. She was just an ordinary teenager, with her life ahead of her filled with promise and opportunity. However, her simple existence was about to be forever changed by the events that were about to unfold.
One fateful day, as Sarah was walking home from school, she noticed something strange in the sky. A large, dark cloud was moving swiftly towards her, blocking out the sun. As she watched in horror, the cloud began to take on a more ominous shape - it was a giantess! And she was on a path straight towards Sarah's town.
In the blink of an eye, the giantess was towering above everything in sight. She was at least 100 stories tall, with long, muscular legs and arms that could swallow buildings whole. Her face was expressionless, like that of a goddess looking down upon mere mortals.
Terror gripped Sarah's heart as she saw the giantess raise her hand, preparing to strike. She covered her head with her hands, expecting the worst. But instead of the devastating blow she had anticipated, she felt herself being picked up by the giantess' finger.
She looked up in wonder and saw that the giantess was examining her like a curious child with a newly found insect. Sarah tried to speak, but no words would come out. All she could do was stare up at the giantess in awe and fear.
"You are but an ant, yet you intrigue me," the giantess said, her deep voice reverberating through the air. "Tell me, why do you not fear me?"
Sarah swallowed hard and forced herself to speak. "I... I don't know," she stammered. "You're just so big, and I'm so small. It's like I'm nothing to you."
The giantess considered this for a moment before letting out a low, rumbling laugh. "You humans and your insignificance. But perhaps you're right. Perhaps you truly are nothing but ants in the grand scheme of things."
With that, the giantess lowered Sarah back down to the ground. She watched in horror as buildings crumbled under the giantess' feet, people screaming in terror all around her. And then, without warning, the giantess raised her hand again, and this time, she struck.
A powerful shockwave radiated out from the giantess' palm, leveling everything in its path. Sarah cried out as the ground beneath her shook violently, but somehow, she managed to stay standing. When the dust finally settled, all that was left was a barren wasteland.
Sarah stood there, alone and terrified, amidst the ruins of what was once her home. And then, she saw her. The giantess was standing before her, her expression unreadable.
"Why are you still here?" she asked, her voice echoing through the silence.
Sarah couldn't answer. She didn't know why she hadn't run away or hidden. All she knew was that she couldn't bring herself to leave the giantess' presence.
"Perhaps it's because you intrigue me," the giantess said, her voice softening slightly. "Or maybe it's because I sense something in you that I can't quite put my finger on."
She reached out again, and this time, Sarah didn't resist. The giantess lifted her up once more, examining her closely, her warm breath tickling Sarah's skin.
"You are all the same, humans," the giantess murmured, her voice filled with sadness. "So small, so fragile. It breaks my heart."
With that, she lowered Sarah back down to the ground, her fingers brushing against Sarah's cheek in a gentle caress. Before disappearing into the sky, the giantess turned back to Sarah one last time.
"Do not forget me, little one," she said, her voice echoing in Sarah's ears long after she was gone.
And so, Sarah lived, forever changed by her encounter with the giantess. She carried the memory of their brief encounter with her, wondering if she would ever see the giantess again. She knew that the world would never be the same, that nothing would ever be truly safe or secure again. But somehow, in the midst of all the chaos and destruction, she found a strange sort of peace.
