Koharu's Growth Spurt
As the small town of Aihara basked in the warm summer sun, 18-year-old Koharu sat on her bed, clutching a letter tightly in her hands. Her heart raced as she read through the words on the page, her eyes widening in disbelief. Her cheeks flushed with excitement as she came across the first line that made her whole body tingle with anticipation.
"Dear Koharu," the letter began, "I am writing to inform you that after careful consideration, I have decided to make our relationship official. As such, I am pleased to invite you to come and visit me in Tokyo."
It was signed with the name of the man who had been captivating her attention for quite some time now: Daiki, her childhood friend who had moved away to the big city years ago. She couldn't believe it; he wanted to see her! Butterflies filled her stomach as she read on, eager to know what else he had to say.
"I know it's been a while since we last saw each other, but I've never forgotten about you, Koharu. You were always so special to me, and I can't wait to show you how much I care." His words sent shivers down her spine, and she felt her heart swell with happiness.
As she continued to read through the rest of the letter, plans were made for her trip to Tokyo; Daiki would pick her up at the airport and take care of all her accommodations. He promised to make this visit one she would never forget. The more she read, the more excited she became. This was it; their chance to be together at last.
Koharu couldn't help but feel a twinge of nervousness as well. She had changed so much since he'd seen her last; she wasn't as shy or timid as she used to be. She was taller, her body had matured, and she had grown more confident in herself. Would he still find her attractive? Would he even recognize her anymore? These thoughts circled around in her head as she tried to contain her excitement.
Days turned into weeks as she eagerly anticipated her trip to Tokyo. She spent hours in front of the mirror, practicing different outfits and hairstyles, trying to decide what would look best on her now. The date of her flight kept creeping closer and closer, and she couldn't contain her excitement any longer.
Finally, the day arrived. With a small suitcase packed full of clothes and cosmetics, she said goodbye to her parents and headed to the airport. Butterflies filled her stomach again as she waited for her flight to be announced. As she boarded the plane, she couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with emotion; she was finally going to see him again.
The flight was long and tiring, but she barely noticed. All she could think about was seeing Daiki's familiar face again. Time seemed to drag on as she anxiously waited for her arrival at Tokyo Airport. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she stepped off the plane and into a whole new world.
She saw him immediately; he was standing there, tall and handsome as ever, wearing a big smile that lit up his face. He looked her up and down, taking in her appearance with a look of surprise mixed with admiration. "Koharu," he breathed out, taking a step towards her. "You look amazing."
His words sent a wave of warmth through her body, and she felt herself blushing again. "T-thank you," she stammered out, unable to take her eyes off him. They hugged tightly, neither one wanting to let go.
As they made their way to the car, she couldn't help but admire how much he had grown as well. He was taller than she remembered, broad shoulders and a well-toned physique that made her heart race. The car ride to his apartment was filled with non-stop chatter about their lives since they had last seen each other, catching up on all the missed time.
When they finally arrived at his place, Koharu couldn't believe her eyes. It was a luxurious high-rise apartment, complete with breathtaking views of the city skyline. He showed her around, introducing her to all the amenities available to them. But as they walked through the spacious rooms, she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off.
"Daiki," she said hesitantly, "I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but why are you living here all by yourself?"
He sighed, looking a little uncomfortable. "Well, you see, Koharu, after I moved away from Aihara, I got into modeling and acting. My career took off pretty quickly, and I ended up making quite a bit of money. I wanted to provide you with the best experience possible when you visited me, so I thought it would be better if I lived alone."
Koharu felt a pang of guilt wash over her; she knew he had always cared for her deeply, and she was grateful for everything he had done for her. But there was something else bothering her; something she couldn't quite put her finger on.
As they settled into his living room, drinks in hand, she tried to bring up the subject once more. "Daiki," she said softly, "I know this might sound strange, but have you noticed anything different about me?"
He raised an eyebrow, looking at her curiously. "Different? How do you mean?"
She took a deep breath, steeling herself for his reaction. "I think I'm...growing," she said slowly. "I've been feeling really strange lately, like my body's changing in ways it shouldn't be."
His eyes widened in shock before breaking out into a grin. "Koharu," he breathed, reaching over to take her hand in his. "You don't have to worry about that anymore. I've been keeping something from you, but I promise you, it's all going to be okay."
Confusion clouded Koharu's mind as she stared at him, not understanding what he meant. He stood up from the couch, pulling her to her feet as well. "Come with me," he said, leading her towards the bedroom.
As they entered the room, she gasped in shock; his bedroom was much bigger than she expected. But that wasn't what caught her attention; it was the giant poster on the wall. She recognized the model instantly; it was her! But how was that possible?
"Koharu," Daiki said softly, walking over to stand behind her. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her close, resting his chin on top of her head. "I've been following your growth ever since I moved away. I knew you were special to me, and I wanted to see how you would change. And boy, have you changed."
Her heart raced as she turned to face him, her eyes filled with wonder and confusion. "What do you mean?" she whispered, afraid to ask the question that was on the tip of her tongue.
He smiled, taking her hand in his and leading her to the full-length mirror in the corner of the room. "Look," he said, pointing to the reflection.
She gasped again as she saw herself in the mirror. She was taller than she remembered, her body had filled out in all the right places, and she radiated confidence and beauty. But it wasn't until she looked down that she noticed the most striking difference.
"My feet," she breathed, staring in disbelief. Her toes barely touched the ground as she stood there, looking up at him. She felt lightheaded, like she was floating on air.
Daiki laughed softly, pulling her close again. "You really don't know how beautiful you are, do you?" he whispered in her ear. "You've grown so much, both inside and out. And I can't wait to see how much more you'll grow in the future."
As they stood there, taking in each other's newfound beauty, Koharu felt a sense of calm wash over her. She had always felt different from everyone else, but now she knew why. She was special to Daiki, and he loved her just the way she was.
Together, they spent the rest of the evening getting to know each other all over again, exploring their newfound attraction and desire for each other. As they lay in bed that night, wrapped in each other's arms, Koharu couldn't help but feel grateful for everything that had
