Hollywood's heart raced as she stood there, bound and helpless. Her every attempt to free herself from the tight ropes that held her body in place had been fruitless. She was trapped, and the man who'd put her there was nowhere in sight. The superheroine's eyes darted around the room, searching for any sign of an escape route or a way to alert her allies.
The tension in the air was palpable, and Hollywood could feel her heart pounding in her chest. Sweat trickled down her back, and she struggled against her restraints once more, growling under her breath. The leather straps cut into her wrists and ankles, leaving painful red marks that only fueled her anger.
Hollywood's breath came out in short, ragged gasps as she finally gave up on trying to break free. Her body was on fire, and the heat of desperation radiated off of her in waves. The man who'd captured her must have enjoyed the sight of her squirming in her bonds, because he still hadn't shown himself.
Minutes turned into hours, and Hollywood's resolve began to waver. She'd never been stuck like this before—not even when she'd faced her toughest opponents. The thought of failing terrified her, but the longer she stayed bound, the more certain she became that escape was impossible. She closed her eyes, trying to focus on something—anything—other than the pain and the fear that threatened to consume her.
Just when she thought she could take no more, a voice echoed through the room. "You're not getting out of this, Hollywood," the man said, his voice cold and cruel. "You're all mine now." Slowly, he stepped into view, and Hollywood's heart sank. He was grinning, and she could see the twisted pleasure he took in her predicament. There was no way out now—no escape from his clutches. All she could do was wait and see what fate had in store for her.
