Bed Bug Trial pov
Martina, Lele, and Ed stood atop a cliff overlooking an endless field of wild grass, their gazes fixed on the tiny figures below. They were giants, their towering forms casting long shadows across the landscape. As they watched, one of them spotted a lone dwarf wandering through the grass, oblivious to the danger that lurked above.
Martina, the first to act, descended from the cliff with a cruel smile on her lips. She approached the dwarf, her footsteps shaking the earth beneath him. "You're just a bug," she said, her voice as heavy as a boulder. "Even the dirt on my sole is better than yours."
Without warning, Martina lifted her right foot high into the air, the huge shadow it casted swallowing the dwarf whole. He tried to scream, but the sound was lost in the wind. Martina's foot came crashing down, the pressure sending shockwaves through the ground. The dwarf was no more than an ant beneath her foot, his body crushed beneath her immense weight.
Lele and Ed joined Martina at the site of the carnage, their eyes gleaming with malicious delight. Lele pinched her nose, waving her hand in front of her face. "God, Martina, your feet stink so much!" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with mockery.
Ed, always cold and distant, approached next, her expression unreadable. "Have you had enough fun?" she asked, not waiting for a response. Without hesitation, she lifted her left foot, the mud caked onto her sole marking the end of the dwarf's existence.
The giants stood over the flattened grass, their hearts filled with a dark sort of amusement. They were gods of this world, the dwarfs nothing more than insects to be crushed beneath their feet. Their laughter echoed across the field, their steps shaking the very foundations of the earth.
As they walked away, leaving nothing but silence and dust in their wake, one couldn't help but wonder: who would be next? The answer was clear: as long as there were dwarfs, there would always be giants to crush them.
